Case Study: Duplex Regenerative Blower System
The chief engineer of this high rise building had several concerns with the two (PD) positive displacement/rootz type blowers being used
to melt ice in tanks for the buildings HVAC system. The PD blowers were so loud that the tenants above the mechanical room complained.
Not to mention the v-belt drive, oil lubricated units were a constant maintenance issue.

AIM Solutions proposed regenerative blowers that
have a significant noise reduction by approximately 10-12dB(A). The regenerative units are close coupled eliminating the need for belts
& pulleys. With no contacting parts and a dry running blowers, they are virtually maintenance free. AIM also proposed stacking the blowers
and saving much needed floor space in the mechanical room.
